I Love This Place · October 2026

The best part of a place
is the people.

A new digital edition from Dean McQuillan.

A beautiful view can draw you to a neighborhood. A familiar face can make you want to stay.

For me, the pleasure of living in Sun City Anthem is in the ordinary moments: seeing someone I know, sharing a conversation, and having a reason to get out and take part. A home matters, of course. So does the life that happens after you put down the keys.

If you are new here, or thinking about a move, I encourage you to leave room in your search for that part of the picture. Alongside bedrooms, garages and views, ask yourself where you would spend time and how you would meet people who enjoy the things you do.

Life is about relationships… the rest is just the details.

Start with one connection.

You do not need a full calendar to begin feeling at home. Choose one activity you already enjoy, look into the current community offerings and find out how to participate. Ask about eligibility, schedules and any fees directly with the association or club.

When you visit, spend time outside the house itself. Look at the gathering places, the route you would walk and the spaces you would use regularly. A community tour should help you imagine an ordinary day, not only a special occasion.

Bring your everyday life
on the tour.

Before seeing homes, write down three priorities for daily life. Perhaps it is a room for your favorite hobby, a patio you would use often, or a route that works for your regular appointments. Use those same priorities at every stop.

If you are considering more than one part of the Valley, our community comparison tool can help organize a first shortlist. Then we can look at actual properties and discuss the details that a broad area description cannot answer.

Compare up to three communities

A number is a starting point.

Market reports can add context to a home search, but a city or ZIP-wide asking-price snapshot is not a valuation of a particular home. Check the date and geography, then compare relevant properties and recent sales with your own plans in mind.

If you have a community story to share, or a neighbor who could use a local introduction, I would enjoy hearing from you. Those conversations are a big part of why I love this place.
